FAQ
What is an XCAL file?
An EFILive calibration export built from Intel-HEX records. This tool parses those records and reassembles the flat binary image.
Does it handle plain Intel HEX (.hex)?
Yes. Any Intel-HEX file works — the converter detects the record format automatically and outputs a .bin.
Where is my file processed?
Securely on our servers. Parsing and rebuilding run there, the .bin is sent back, and nothing is kept afterwards.
How is a conversion paid for?
This conversion runs in the hptbin Windows app. The app is free to install, and the conversion is covered by the Pro subscription with no per-file charge.
