Fix “Unsupported or newer version detected”
If HP Tuners VCM Editor reports that the tune was saved by a newer — or older — version than the one you run, the tune itself is fine; only the container version is wrong. Pick the VCM Editor build you run and hptbin re-stamps the container for it. Every table and setting is preserved bit-for-bit. Included in the hptbin app subscription.

FAQ
Why does VCM Editor say “Unsupported or newer version detected”?
The .hpt was saved by a different VCM Editor version than the one you run. HP Tuners gates files by version. Converting the container to your version clears the error without changing the tune.
Does converting change my tune?
No. The calibration data is preserved bit-for-bit — only the container version label changes. Verified byte-for-byte against real tuning files.
Where is my file processed?
Your file is processed securely on our servers, converted, and the result sent straight back. We don't keep it after the job is done.
How is a conversion paid for?
This conversion runs in the hptbin Windows app. The app is free to install, and the conversion is covered by the Pro subscription with no per-file charge.
